Mangrove is home to two organisations:

Yoga Association of Mangrove Mountain Incorporated (YAMM) and the Academy of Yoga Science Limited (AYS).

YAMM was established in 1998 as a not for profit incorporated association and operates under the business name Mangrove Yoga.  

 

Mangrove Yoga is responsible for centre activities, Courses & Retreats, Volunteering, Farm, Kitchen, Bookshop and Venue Hire.

YAMM is managed by a committee of members in accordance with its Rules of Association. The YAMM committee delegates authority to the Mangrove Coordination Group (key department heads) for the day-to-day operations of Mangrove Yoga, while strategic and financial matters are referred to the YAMM committee for decision-making.

​

Committee members are elected by the ordinary members each year at the AGM.

All ordinary members are eligible to stand, nominate and vote for committee members.

AYS was established in 1996 as a public company, limited by guarantee and is a not for profit organisation.

 

AYS is responsible for the delivery of the diploma in yogic studies as a registered training organisation.  It owns the property at Mangrove, which is part rented to YAMM, and a property at Rocklyn in Victoria, which is rented to the Yoga Association of Victoria.

 

AYS is managed by a committee of members in accordance with its Constitution.

 

Committee members are elected by the ordinary members each year at the AGM.

All ordinary members are eligible to stand, nominate and vote for committee members.
